Cancelation Policy
Air Canada understands that the travel itinerary can be modified and hence practices a policy of free cancellations.
Free Cancellation within 24 hours: Refund of money if canceled more than at least 24 hours after the time as of which the reservation has been finalized and seven days before the day on which the travel begins.
Non-Refundable Tickets: The non-refundable ticket is offered with an additional cancellation fee when you buy it over 24 hours in advance in a half cash and half Air Canada Travel Credit combination to reserve flights in the future again.
Refundable Tickets: The refundable tickets are cancellable whenever you want without an additional fee, and the fare gets a complete refund.
Same-Day Cancellations: The customer needs to pay an adjustment fee if he is cancelling on the same day and has a refundable ticket.
The cancellations are made through the 'Manage Booking' tool in Air Canada's website or over the phone through a customer service call.
Flight Change Policy
Air Canada changes the flights differently.
Same-Day Flight Change: Customers can be held on same-day change fee basis on an earlier day-flight or flight if available. Few fares are not eligible for same-day change fee.
Change of Date or Destination: Customers can alter the date or destination on availability and fare differential basis.
24-Hour Change: If flight change is asked within 24 hours of booking and when the flight is seven or more days ahead of today's date, then the same shall be done without any extra cost.
The upgrade facilities can also be asked for from 'Manage Booking' facility on web or from customer care.
