Cancellation Policy

Swiss Airlines’ cancellation policy allows passengers to cancel their flight, with fees depending on the fare type. For non-refundable tickets, cancellations may result in the loss of the full ticket price. However, refundable tickets offer full reimbursement minus a cancellation fee. Standard cancellation fees range from CHF 100 to CHF 300 for short-haul flights, and up to CHF 500 for long-haul flights. If cancelled within 24 hours of booking, passengers may receive a full refund, regardless of fare type. Swiss Airlines also offers flexibility with rebooking options or changes, often with an additional fee.

Flight Change Policy

Swiss Airlines allows passengers to change their flights, but fees depend on the ticket type and fare conditions. For most tickets, changes incur a fee of CHF 50 to CHF 250, depending on the route and booking class. Non-refundable tickets may have higher fees or restrictions. If you change your flight to a higher fare, you will need to pay the fare difference. If you change within 24 hours of booking, no fee is charged. For Flex and Business Class tickets, changes are usually allowed with fewer restrictions and lower fees. Passengers can also change flight dates, times, or destinations, but the availability of these options depends on the ticket type. Always check the specific terms before making changes.

Policy of Flight Upgrade

SWISS Airlines offers flight upgrades through the "SWISS Upgrade" program, allowing passengers to upgrade from Economy to Business Class or Business to First Class, subject to availability. Upgrades can be requested at the time of booking, after booking, or at the airport. For upgrades at the time of booking, passengers can select a paid upgrade option or use miles through the Swiss Miles & More loyalty program. At the airport, passengers can bid for upgrades through the “Upgrade Bid” program, where they propose an amount they’re willing to pay. If accepted, they will be upgraded based on availability and the bid amount. Upgrades are not guaranteed and depend on seat availability in the higher class.
